On a December night in 1988, just days before Christmas, one of the worst air disasters in history occurred in the skies over Scotland. Pan Am Flight 103, carrying 259 passengers and crew, exploded at 31,000 feet. It fell to Earth in large, fiery sections across the sleepy, hillside town of Lockerbie.
This landmark film for the Smithsonian Channel and ITV film follows the events minute-by-minute, blending never before seen archive and motion graphics with emotional testimony from those who were there, and those whose lives the tragedy tore apart.
Broadcast in the UK on the 17th December 2013 and in US on the 21st December 2013.
